Nature Journaling - Two July Events

Nature Journaling
Monday, July 8, 2013
6:00 p.m.
Grote Hall Auditorium, UTC campus
Chattanooga TN
Free and open to the public

Mary Priestley, the curator of the Sewanee Herbarium, will present a program about Nature Journaling. In addition to her work with the Herbarium, Mary has also served as president of the Tennessee Native Plant Society (TNPS) and of the Friends of South Cumberland State Recreation Area; she has been a hike leader for the TNPS and for the Smoky Mountains Wildflower Pilgrimage.  May is also the author of Williams' Wildflowers, a children's book showcasing the wildflowers of the South Cumberland Plateau.

This will be a special opportunity to learn how to see nature in a new way.

The event is presented by the local Tennessee Valley Chapter of Wild Ones, an organization that supports natural landscaping using native plants.

Driving directions & parking: Drive east on E. 5th Street into the UTC campus; the cemetery will be on your left.  Pass the University Center and then Holt Hall on the right.  Just past Holt Hall, turn right into  Parking Lot 10 adjoining the Engineering, Math and Science Building (just before the intersection of 5th and Palmetto).  Drive toward the southwest end of that parking lot; Grote Hall will be ahead and on the right.  Park in the lot adjacent to Grote Hall.  Parking is free at this time of day
